We have a range of facilities for makers, hackers, artists, designers and anyone who wants the space and tools to do things. Once you have become a member you will be able to book them on a pay as you go basis on Wednesdays.
Epilog Laser £30 ph
The Epilog laser is a laser cutting and engraving machine. It uses materials such as wood, Acrylic (Plexiglas) or cardboard. It also has a very powerful raster mode for engraving and etching designs. Any vector design in a PDF file format can be cut out by the machine, as well as photographic or bitmap images with varied results.
Prusa 3D printer £5 ph

Roland Vinyl Cutter £20 ph
The GX-24 cuts vinyl sheeting commonly used in the sign making industry. Applications include vehicle graphics, signs, decals, labels, stencils, pin striping, paint protection film and logos, amongst others. It’s a very simple machine to use with lots of uses, including t-shirt making! Heat press included in bookings.
Desktop Mill £30 ph
This small cnc is used for milling circuit boards or foam. It is best used for simple 3D carving of soft objects or when cutting materials that cannot be cut on the laser cutter such as hdpe plastic.
Stepcraft CNC £70 ph
This stepcraft CNC machine has can mill 18mm plywood and has a cut area of 400 x 500 mm. This needs specialist training to use.
Workshop Bench £10 ph
Great for smaller hands-on projects. Tools available with the bench are the Chop Saw, Scroll Saw, Pillar Drill, Bench Sanders and all the hand tools. Festool rail saw, jigsaw, router and extraction. Makita drills and Mirka sander.
CAM Embroidery Machine £10 ph

Inspired by the open source Precious Plastics project (find out more here), our Plastics Kitchen take much of the engineering out of recycling plastics, using domestic appliances and every day objects to make recycling and reusing your plastic for other projects even easier and more accessible.
